Plastic Pipe Joining Program

Notifications

CTSi issues notices thirty (30) days in advance. This notice accompanies a registration form and a schedule of classes with locations and dates.

The thirty day notice is sent to the designated address of the individual who is to be tested. This address should be the address of the employer of the individual or their own address if they are self-employed.

Test results are sent to the contractors, and in the case of failures, the utility.  Test results will also be posted on the database.  Contractors will have access to their data through a secure ID and password.  Contractors may view only their own personnel records. Utility companies have viewing access to all utilities and contractors records.

Fusion qualification cards are sent to the designated address of the individual who has passed the test.  Again, this address should be the address of the employer of the individual or their own address if they are self-employed.

Notices of failures of any and all portions of the test will be sent to both the utility company and the contractor.  In the event  of failure, it is the responsibility of the utility and/or the contractor to determine the status of the individual.  The utility or the contractor may want to send the individual to additional training before re-testing. For re-testing of an individual who has previously failed, same registration fees shall apply as the original testing. It is the responsibility of the contractor or the utility to contact CTSi to schedule re-testing.

New Employees

If a contractor or utility has new employees that need qualification, they must notify CTSi. CTSi will then forward appropriate data forms, registration forms, and schedules.  CTSi will enter these individuals into the database.

Payments

Payments for registration fees may be made by company check, certified check, Pcard, VISA, Master Card or American Express. Cash payments or payments with personal checks will not be accepted. Payments must be sent in with the registration, in advance of testing. CTSi will make every effort to accommodate late registrations but will not be responsible for the consequences of an expired pipe joining card.
